Tenancy by the Entirety

Ownership titling available in some states where two spouses own the same asset together, and at the death of a spouse, the surviving spouse will then become the sole owner of the property, regardless of the distributions made in the deceased spouse’s will. While similar to Joint Tenancy with Right of Survivorship, one difference is that in tenancy by the entirety neither spouse may sell any interest in the property without the other spouse’s consent.
