Paul Caspersen, CFP®,AEP®,MS

Paul Caspersen, President, and Founder of Planned Giving Interactive brings complex financial thinking to the charitable planning field. As a Certified Financial Planner, Paul has 25 years of financial, estate, and charitable planning experience. At the University of Florida, Paul and his office have been tasked with an overall combined Gift Planning goal of over $150 Million annually in deferred, real estate, and other complex gifts. He is currently a key member of the Senior Management Team that is completing the University’s $3 billion “Go Greater” Campaign.

Under Paul’s Leadership at the University of Florida, campaign eligible planned gifts increased from $230 million in the previous “Florida Tomorrow”(2006-2012) campaign to over $1 billion in the “Go Greater”(2014-2022) campaign scheduled to conclude September 2022.

Paul was the Executive Director in the Office of Gift Planning at the Iowa State University Foundation from 2009 to 2013. Prior to that, Paul was a Wealth Management Advisor with TIAA-CREF and served as the Firm”s Managing Principal for Iowa. Mr. Caspersen earned a Bachelor”s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s degree in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, CO. Paul is author of the financial planning book entitled, “Direction Memo:  How to Write a Letter of Instructions for Your Estate Plan.”

Dana Caspersen-Executive Director of Operations and Communications brings over 20 years of sales, marketing, and operations experience in both corporate and non-profit industries to Planned Giving Interactive’s team. Having been a part of higher education advancement teams, non-profit boards, and leading B2B sales territories, Dana exudes much pride in helping others reach their potential and exceed their goals.

Most recently, Dana served 6 years as Talent Management- Recruiter for the University of Florida Advancement and prior to that nearly 15 years in sales, training, and management roles in business to business sales in the Midwest.
