Zero coupon bond

These bonds do not pay interest at all, but rather are sold at a deep discount from their redemption value. Investors in zero-coupon bonds do not collect interest, instead, they rely on the increasing value of the bond for their investment return. The advantage is that these bonds usually do not produce taxable income until they are sold, and are often used with a FLIP Net-income CRUT.
